Our practice group members are recognized-industry leaders and professionals with proven public service and related government experience at the executive and legislative levels at La Fortaleza (Governor´s Office), departments of the executive branch of our local government, local public corporations, government boards of directors, transition committees, and Puerto Rico and U.S. political campaigns.

Our members have provided years of government transactional work, public policy advice to governors, cabinet-level secretaries and clients, and developed strategies with local and national trade associations, all of which translates into substantive experience, understanding of the legislative and executive processes, effective implementation of strategy, and direct relations with stakeholders at the local level and in Washington, D.C.

Our attorneys have been involved in the drafting and approval of bills that have enabled major and historic government reforms within certain departments of the executive branch of our local government, including permitting reforms, the Tax Incentives Act of 2008, and related Act 20 and Act 22 spin-offs, among others.  More recently, we have advised clients on matters related to Puerto Rico finances, bonds and fiscal situation, and served as strategy consultants to insurers, bond-holders, lobbyists and financial analysts.  Our work encompasses representation of clients before regulators, analysis and advocacy in the development and performance within their respective industries and, when necessary, litigation.
